Our Philosophy

Our Story
Leilani Rose’s passion for health and wellness was sparked early, growing up in a health-conscious home where whole, fresh, and organic foods were simply a way of life. Her mother was one of the founding members of a local organic CSA, and Leilani spent her childhood working in the fields, gaining hands-on knowledge of where food comes from and how to nourish the body naturally. By her late teens, her interest led her to study herbal medicine at David Winston’s Center for Herbal Studies, expanding her knowledge of holistic health.
Movement was also woven into her upbringing — from playing in nature and hiking to participating in sports, gymnastics, and later, competitive figure skating. This lifelong culture of healthy movement laid the foundation for a deeper exploration of yoga, leading her to become a Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher (RYT-200) specializing in Vinyasa, Hatha, and Iyengar style flows.
Leilani’s commitment to wellness continued with earning her certification as a nutrition coach through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, then seeking to deepen her knowledge through becoming a Kinesiology Practitioner, Ayurvedic Nutritionist, and Functional Genomics Practitioner. Beyond these integrative modalities, she served for seven years as an emergency medical technician, studied nursing, and worked in the healthcare industry for several years where she led projects and teams focused on rare disease, arthritis, digestive health, respiratory care, and COVID-19 initiatives—further deepening her understanding of body systems and how to support and heal them.
Today, Leilani brings this uniquely integrated background to Elume, offering evidence-based nutrition guidance, functional movement practices, and mindful wellness programs that support both targeted goals and lifelong well-being.
